Freebie Friday - Seattle Bound

Happy Friday everyone! While I'm only three weeks into this whole blogging business, I can't deny it's a lot of work. Between shop orders, custom orders, blogging, social media, being a mommy and being a wife, I often feel like I'm running on empty. I know what my husband would say if I started complaining..."take a step back, slow down". Ugh, I wish I could turn off my creative mind sometimes, but honestly, I can't. Plus, I feel like I'm on a roll lately, so I won't. Even though we are out of town, I made a commitment to myself to blog twice a week, so here I am; in my hotel room, typing a post on my phone, trying to quickly be witty while husband and baby snore in the background, knowing I will be woken by a hungry little kitten in a few short hours.

Right now my party of 3 family (Chowder couldn't make it) is visiting Seattle for a quick house hunting trip. We are moving...AGAIN. In the almost 5 years I've known my husband we've lived in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Southern Cal...and now soon to be Seattle. These big corporate moves work at lightning speed. We would like to pick out a house this weekend and get the show on the road. If he thinks he's leaving me alone with #avakittenmeow 5 days a week for months on end, you'll find our family featured on an episode of Dateline real quick. You know the drill...wife takes out husband in a crazy woman rage. No thank you. He works really hard for our family and is so loving and supportive of my career, so I'd like to keep him around.

I can't deny I'm a little heartbroken to leave California and all the amazing people we've met. This is where I became a mother. This is the house I brought my sweet little girl home to just 3 hours after giving birth. I pictured her taking her first steps in our family room, opening up presents under the Christmas tree in our living room, and having her 1st birthday party (anchor themed of course), in our beautiful California backyard. I know, I know, woe is me. I've got a really rough life. I'm well aware we will find a great new place Seattle and make lots of new memories. Home truly is where the heart is, and Kitty Meow can go wherever I am.

So in the spirit of Seattle and new beginnings, please go have a Starbucks on Kitty Meow (fun fact: Starbucks was founded in Seattle, WA in 1971). I feel blessed every day to be able to do what I love and share it with others.

Offer good until the money runs out. Don't be greedy and hoard it all for yourself!

Be thankful for what you have in life. Be kind to each other. Pay it forward. Kitty Meow, signing out!
